History

In Eighteen hundred and sixty nine (1869) Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church was established in Carroll County Georgia. Today, the church continues to occupy its original site at the corner of Glanton and Thomas Dorsey Dr. ( Sunset Dr.) in the town of Villa Rica. Like many historic institutions, the church has celebrated many memorable events. One notable example was when Pleasant Hill caught on fire and was rebuilt. Some written records was destroyed by fire, some by were lost in failed record keeping however, records about numerous events have passed from one generation to the next by word of mouth.
